C and T Connection

Once upon a time there was a dream. A poet dreamt of collaborating with a guitarist. A guitarist dreamt of joining sounds with a poet. Their dreams became a reality. Cassia, the poet and Thom Lourim, a guitarist, teamed up to form The C and T Connection.

Cassia has been writing poetry since an early age. Performing her poetry in high school roused her interest, therefore, stirring up the desire to perform in shows throughout the D.C., Maryland and Virginia areas. Life experiences inspire Cassia to write, thus, moving her to produce and deliver a poetic style consisting of passion and purpose. Because of Cassia’s zeal for the spoken word she was nominated Best Poet of 2009 for the D.C., Maryland and Virginia (DMV) Awards. Through spoken word her objective is to inspire and to encourage others.

Thom Lourim is an electric and acoustic guitarist trained in classical and jazz music. He has been performing since the 80s. His music repertoire incorporates the music genres of Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Funk, Jazz Fusion and World Music. Thom has a passion for outreach ministries that service those who are impoverished and neglected in our world. He utilizes his gift to communicate his journey through life that once included trials and pain which led to a relationship with Christ. In return for his excursion, Thom hopes to reach others through his gift.

The C and T Connection was formed in 2010 and quickly created a household name. They will give birth to their debut album For Higher in Spring of 2011. Their mission is to stir up a passion inside of their audience to glorify God.
