New Music Raw by Imperial

Listen here:

The Story

Lead single from Cambridge UK based producer Imperial. It's a banger style track where Imperial drops it raw on beats & cuts with lyrics laced by Scribbling Idiot and Deepspace 5 members.

With a full instrumental project currently in the works and the passion and motivation to be a true innovator in the genre, there's certainly a bright future ahead for the young producer. "I just want to produce fresh new music that makes people feel – music that people can connect with," says Imperial. "I've got a real thing for hip hop's golden era, which I like to combine with modern production. I hope this comes through in my music."

Joey's Dream "The Review"

Joey’s Dream has released his new album, “Mold Me”. On my first pass, I quickly reviewed each track listening for the beat, then rolled it back and decided to give it a full spin. Where do I begin? Well, Track 1 appears to be a good start! Here is a track by track review of a “Mold Me”:
Track 1 - “Experimental” – This song can be summed up with three words:
Experimental – “You won’t know what you call it”
Fundamentals – “You will not learn in college”
Exponential – “You have to take the solid…..”
When I listen to the invite from Joey’s Dream to come and experience Christ for the non believer it is an “Experimental” event. Yes, with exponential rewards! Now when I think of the hook, rubbing my chin, I have to say, it’s pretty deep. I found myself driving down 295 with the two front windows down with the system on blast to a tune that will challenge a young non believer to take a plunge.
Track 2 - “Piece of Sunshine”
In a world that appears to be emerging into darkness, Joey’s Dream remains walking with his head up. We take a poetic walk in a day within “Piece of Sunshine”. I found this piece to have a fun and uplifting melody, but a very powerful statement will leave you with a lasting imprint to quote “What’s my last thought before I lie in the bed, have I been detrimental or Heaven sent?” This song I found to be very self reflecting, by challenging one to look within oneself and to remain Christ like in our daily walk.
Track 3 - “Sierra”
“Sierra” is a song that is full of beauty and will touch any listener. Joey’s Dream leaves you wanting to hear more ballets from him in the future. I have one word for Joey’s Dream “WOW”!
Track 4 - “Poetry In Motion” (feat. Matt Dall)
I’ll be the first to admit that the Christian rock as a genre is not my strongest point. I will have to admit I played this track when I was giving the smack down to some cat on Madden 2011. The music is very enjoyable, but I found it difficult to catch all of the lyrics.
Track 5 - “Mold Me”
“Mold Me”, enough said! This song is excellent. I love the lyrics and concept of the song. Turning everything over to the Lord and asking him to mold me to be in HIS image. A song of faith, growth and love, this is by far Joey’s Dream at their best!!!!
Track 7 – “Why”
The beat and the electric guitar are the coolest! Hey, this is a song that I have been hearing in my head every morning, and even now! I can proudly say, this is easily becoming a theme song, to quote “Why don’t we practice what we preach because no one is out of reach….., Why don’t we stop and seek what God’s love was meant to be Why….”
Overall, I found Joey’s Dream “Mold Me” to be an exceptional album easy listening and enjoyable. I even have a hardcore rhythm and praise fan that will remain nameless, humming the song “WHY”. If you haven’t heard the new sensation, please support this artist and pick up Joey’s Dream album “Mold Me”.
“Mold Me” is available in all formats iTunes and Amazon.com

Joey’s Dream New CD Entiteld "Mold Me" !

Joey’s Dream

New album Mold Me due for release on 8/23/2011 by Illect Recordings

Once a self-proclaimed Average Joe, the artist formerly known as Joey the Jerk has now captured a vision of musical experience that reaches beyond his hip hop roots and into new sonic territory. This vision, realized in the form of Joey’s Dream, is a creation of sound that refuses to be categorized into one specific genre. Call it rock, call it pop, call it hip-hop, call it what you want – this latest project from the Paramount, CA, native delivers ear-pleasing results for listeners of all kinds. With the release of Mold Me, Joey’s Dream is sure to capture your attention as well as your imagination.

Make no mistake, Mold Me is a bold endeavor from Joey and a departure from what past fans of his music have come to expect. But regardless of the change in sound and name, Joey hopes to reacquaint himself with his past listeners as well as open up the door for a whole new audience. “I would hope past fans aren’t put off by the style of Joey’s Dream but would appreciate the music for what it is. I’m always wanting to share perspective, art, and the themes of my songs with all different kinds of listeners.” Those themes found on Mold Me range anywhere from deeply personal experiences to ideas about our need for God to shape us into the people we are called to be.

While the passion and honesty that past fans of his music have come to expect from Joey can be found throughout his latest project, Joey’s Dream is a labor of love that is quite collaborative in nature. For Mold Me, Joey enlisted the help of a few friends, most notably, Matt Dally who is best known for his work as bassist in the band Superchic[k]. When they weren’t in the middle of another friendly bout of Madden, the two were pouring their creative energies into many of the songs that appear on Mold Me. It goes without saying that the presence of the two artists, both coming from different musical backgrounds, can be felt throughout the course of each song.
“With Matt, he comes from a different world than I do and wants to bringabout a different result,” says Joey. “It was about making both of our visions for each particular song
collide in a way that made both of us happy.” It’s hard not to be thrilled with the results, as tracks like “Poetry in Motion” and “Wake Me Up” clearly combine the sound and personality of each artist in a way that instantly creates something new and unique.

Mold Me is an album about hope, faith, and joy. Hope that Christians can truly grasp the love
that Christ has placed in our hearts and live out our faith in boldness; faith
that regardless of life’s struggles, God is molding us and shaping us into the
people that He longs for us to be; and joy found in the little things of life,
whether it be family, friends, or even just a “Piece of Sunshine”. With diversity found not only in its subject matter, but also in its sound and presentation, Joey’s Dream is a project has
proved to be an extremely worthwhile outlet. “As an artist, I felt like I had music in me that was worthwhile, but wasn’t exactly rap music,” says Joey. “I wanted this project to sound different, look different, and be looked at in a different light.” Mission accomplished. And the resulting product is must-hear, no matter what light you’re viewing it in.
